We’re based in the beautiful village of Ambergate, with it’s picturesque setting and tranquil atmosphere…it’s the perfect location for our business known as Chapel studio.

Bought in a dilapidated state in 1987, the building was just a shell and with no bright future, we decided to take the Chapel on as a project…what was initially supposed to be a couple of months of renovation turned into three years of hard labour.

However – we persevered and lovingly renovated it in our spare time, roping in friends and family to put the Chapel back into it’s former glory.  This purposely built photographic studio is the perfect location with it’s cosy fire in the viewing room, cinematic projector and photographic studio, but don’t take our word for it – come down for a cup of tea or fabulous coffee and see for yourself!

Chapel Studio is located on the edge of the Peak District, just off the A6 at Ambergate, between Belper and Matlock. It was originally built as a Methodist Chapel in 1826 and is now the home for all things photographic.  The studio is easily accessible from the A6 A38 and M1.
